Meet the Species – Beginners’ Birdwatching

If you are a novice birdwatcher who would like to learn more, this is the opportunity to spend time with an experienced birdwatcher identifying birds in various habitats out on the reserve. Please book in advance for this course. Cost is £17 per session or £60 for all four sessions. Over 1 mile of boardwalk makes the majority of the reserve and two hides accessible to wheelchair users. Meet the Species is part of Discovering Places – the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad Campaign to inspire the UK to discover their local environment. It is co-ordinated by the Bristol Natural History Consortium, and has joined forces with Local Leaders and Garden for the Games to get as many people as possible enjoying the outdoors and getting closer to nature in a diverse range of events.
