Meet the Species – Wonderful Whitworth Wildlife Big Saturday

Come along to experience local wildlife, environmentally friendly craft activities, archaeology, wildflower planting and recording the species of animals and plants found in the park.

This is an accredited Meet the Species event helping to find and identify 2,012 species of UK wildlife before the end of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. For more information, or to get your own wildlife event accredited with Meet the Species, see www.meetthespecies.org.uk.

Meet the Species is part of Discovering Places – the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad Campaign to inspire the UK to discover their local environment. It is co-ordinated by the Bristol Natural History Consortium, and has joined forces with Local Leaders and Garden for the Games to get as many people as possible enjoying the outdoors and getting closer to nature in a diverse range of events.
