SHINE – St Peters Church, Northampton

Take part in a unique experience at St Peter’s Church in Oundle on Saturday 22nd October. The youngest church to take part in SHINE, St Peter’s is still more than 600 years old, and has the tallest steeple in the county.  The church will be transformed by a spectacular light ‘illumination’ and digital art projection.

This event is part of SHINE, a unique project that celebrates Northamptonshire’s heritage through several historic churches within the Legacy Trust UK funded IGNITING AMBITION FESTIVAL 2011 and UK Cultural Olympiad.

SHINE will provide an online website repository of heritage information to include photos, videos, music and stories connected with the church and its associated town or village.

SHINE will culminate in the autumn of 2011 with a series of outdoor multi-site illuminated exhibition events at historic churches including Earls Barton, Brixworth, Northampton, Rothwell and Oundle.
